Steve’s Condition

Talofa everyone!!!

Steve and I decided that it was best to start a blog to update friends and family on Steve’s condition. We have had an out-pour of phone calls from everyone who was unaware what was going on and concerned about his health.

We have known for several years now but decided that it was a family matter and we would like to keep it private. The years have gone by and his condition has become a more serious. He is still working but he does have his bad days when we have to call it a little earlier then he would like.We are in the process stages for consideration of an organ transplant with UCLA Medical Center.  We do not have a set date when the evaluation will be take place at UCLA but hope that it will be soon. They have requested for several test to be done before we can even be given an appointment with their transplant team.

The reason for the Fundraiser/Benefit is that our insurance does not help us with travel, room & board while we are there and other various medical expenses. The insurance does pay for the surgery and only a few days hospital stay.  We have been told that recovery in the hospital could be anywhere from 14-30 days maybe longer depending on his health. Steve will be out of work as well as myself; I will be his primary care-giver until he his well enough to return to work.

We would like to Thank all those for there generosity, love and support during this difficult time that he is facing. Cannot imagine how we would get through this without all your heartfelt concerns.

A donation line has been created through www.paypal.com under steve.looney808@gmail.com

Again, thank you for all the wonderful emails and calls we have been receiving.
